pspi.exe (to run Photoshop plug-ins in GIMP)
You don't need to buy Photoshop to run most Photoshop plug-ins. You can run them using GIMP and pspi.exe .
"The Windows package includes just pspi.exe . Put it in your GIMP plug-ins folder."
After starting GIMP, select Xtns, then select Photoshop Plug-in Settings... and type in or browse to the folder(s) where you are going to keep the 3rd-party Photoshop plug-ins (.8bf files) that you want to use in GIMP and click OK. Then you will find the photoshop plug-ins listed under the "Filters" menu of the GIMP image window after restarting GIMP.

Optik Verve Labs have created a plugin called VirtualPhotographer so that you can turn your renders into virtual photographs. There are additional settings that you can download too, including 'Audition' which makes a hazy, b&w photo-shoot shot appearance, and 'Yearbook' which gives your picture a lighly contrasted b&w image, as you would see in a yearbook. It works in PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro, and if you have the PhotoShop Plugin you can also use it in GIMP.
