I am only just starting to learn about this type of Art and how I can make use of it, so my list is still on the short side and I continue to do research. If you have any links about this type of genre then please post them here for myself and other to use.

In Japan the term for graphic novels is actually manga, anime is the term used for animation (ie the cartoon shows and movies so many love to watch), of which many anime are based off of manga books as well as games. There is a definite difference between Japanese and North American Graphic Novels and Anime. It's worth research and in the process learn what is popular and more likely to garner you attention when you create you masterpiece.
